Title: Lake Hartwell SC 2-2-09
Post by: SCcoyotehunter on February 02, 2009, 06:56:20 PM
We went down to Lake Hartwell, South Carolina today to do a little striper fishing. We do not fish with live bait but chase the sea gulls. We look for the sea gulls chasing the baitfish that the stripers chase to the surface when schooling. The weather was absolutely perfect today, with a slight wind and increasing clouds. We got a slow start and had kind of a slow day today. We caught One largemouth bass, one striper and two hybrid bass. Definately enough for a good fish fry. My partner hooked a biggun that peeled off about half his spool before getting wrapped up in the trees below. It was probably a monster striper. Here are a couple of pics from today.
