Title: Not good
Post by: Jimmie in Ky on February 16, 2009, 02:15:34 PM
I may or may not be able to get pics of the mess. They are citing anyone who stops along the trace for any reason up there right now. Safetey is the issue too many hanging limbs.

The article in the Pducah sun reads like they are looking for some volunteers but I can't seem to get any one by phone or otherwise.  Jimmie

It seems to me the line was highway 80 as to whether damage was slight to severe. Tennessee line was slight and getting worse as you went north from there. After highway 80 it is severe damage. I took a little trip across the area today and was able to hunt in the woods to the south of 80,Near Murray,  not a lot of damage there. Even the west ky parkway got closed for a short time from what I saw. If you can imagine trees laying alll th way across a four lane highway  from both sides.

I picked up my camera to take with me and did not have a charged battery at all. I used them during the ice storm and forgot to recharge them. They are on teh charger now and I will take some motre pics of my place to go with what I took the morning after hell froze over. Jimmie
