Title: Windows time change
Post by: KySongDog on March 08, 2009, 09:04:23 AM
Daylight savings time went in to effect today.  But my Windows XP doesn't work.   The Daylight savings box is checked but it still thinks the time doesn't change until April.   The system has all the current Microsoft updates applied to it.

Anyone else having a problem?

You might have the wrong time zone in effect.
Right click the clock
click Adjust Date/Time
and then click the Time Zone Tab.

Nothing seems to work.

I guess I'll change the time zone to eastern (I'm in central) and that will get the clock to show correctly.

I have service pack 3 installed.  Can't figure out what is wrong.

I finally got it figured out.  For some reason, windows registry had the wrong info.  I used "regedit" to modify the registry with the correct values I found on Microsoft's website.

All is well now.    :thumb2:
