So today was another great spring day in NH....the first day of spring offically actually....I got out of work...decided to slip out to one of my spots and see if any turkey were around...I sat on a stonewall that is in a hedgerow of trees splitting 2 small fields...sitting there relaxing nice n sunny no wind...I see movement just like that...here come 2 big toms....one real big with 2 beards !....got some good pix...they drifted right past me close range...never had a clue I was there...I was just about to call it in...I heard some yelping and kee-ing....here comes 7 jakes moving quick...caught up with the 2 toms and last I saw they were all laying down and scratching around under some trees...no struting or gobbling..not a hen in sight....gorgeous birds when the sun is hitting their feathers...the tom with 2 beards has a pretty wicked set of spikes on him.

OH YEAH! :yoyo: I'm gettin' stoked. Turned two more pots that I'm gonna finish today. Still have to turn one for me and the Big Dawg. Our season starts way too late. :sad3:
oHHH... would I like that double beard :yoyo:
I have seen this year so far a bearded hen......a white hen and a half white gobbler all on land I hunt!!!!!!
I hope I get the gobbler but he is 4 or older so hes gonna be tough......... :eyebrow:
If you look real close I almost think the 2-bearder is a 3 bearder :yoyo:
Oh Yeah! Guess we know where you'll be opening day!
Nice Birds for sure...It may be a triple beard
Axshully I take the first week off every season and head north so I probably wont be hunting those birds unless I get skunked up Nawth :eyebrow:
