Title: Spuna few pens today.
Post by: HaMeR on March 26, 2009, 07:51:28 PM
Actually I made 7 pens & 2 pencils.

Tiger Maple set for a retirement gift. This style works great for the older folks. Don't they Jim??  :innocentwhistle:   :laf: :laf:

Dark Green Acrylic. The pen is much darker than the pencil but they are both dark green. The flakes look cool in them too.

Hey Glen,
Last evening at our gun club meeting our club president showed me a pen a guy had made for him.   It had a wooden shaft similar to yours, but the bottom where the point was was fashioned from a 6mm ppc cartridge case.  It was pretty neat and might be something you would want to experiment with!?

I like those with the soft rubber grips.  The one I got from you is similar!!

Jim

:wo: What? You mean those fancy pocket calls are actually writing utensils?  :shck:

Well I guess that explains why I couldn't get any distress sounds out of mine.  :doh2:   :laf:

Seriously... Glen's pens are super nice !!!  :highclap: :congrats: :yoyo:

Mine still writes like it's brand new.

Warning though, if you get one of these pens you will have to hide it from the kids...or you'll never see it again.

Sounds like you guys all made the mistake of thinking you were buying
yourself a pen,, me, I just bought my wife a pen/pencil set right off the bat.  :eyebrownod:
Someday when I grow up I'll get my own.

I know Glen  :doh2:. A few of those days without my puter, I did move some stuff out away
from the lathe, and I actually sanded on a call too.    I'm gettin closer.
