Ok fellers tell me what you would change
Red X is where I have seen turkey's roost or come off the roost
The white line is the end of my hunting property
The yellow line is where I am planing on walking in to my set up and the blue X is my set up

I like the looks of that green field myself. Not sure if that's a clearing to the South of the pond or not but if it is I would consider that area too. Just don't get busted on the way in & if they gobble from too far away be ready to move on them. Try to get within 150yds or so if possible.
Good Luck!! :yoyo:
That Green field is to the NE of the pond
Glen we walked past that pond when we were hunting crows off the highwall
Here I go again :doh2: Is that a golf couse?
Nope a hay field :roflmao:
Yep!! The little clearing I mentioned is right above the words "DigitalGlobe". Not even sure it's a clearing either. :nono: Otherwise head for the ridge tops with open or somewhat open woods.
It's kinda hard to tell the exact lay out,
or how thick things are, or how many yds.
or acres we're lookin at, but I might not even
push it that far. I'd maybe start about half way
down your yellow line, like where it starts to bend,
set up there and see which way they fly down
and what direction they go.
To get an idea, how far do you think it is from say
the 4 X's (to the south) to your blue X ? How big is
the hayfield east of your blue X ?
Ya wana be higher than the birds if ya can Bill.... I cant tell by the pic if ya are.
In any case I see several spots that look promising ...... :eyebrow:
I never know where I am going to set up until I hear gobbling in the morning.
If I hear nothing, I may set up on that field and hope something shows up during the day.
Scott From the 4 x's to the south to my set up is 150 to 200 yards The hay field, what you see is about 6 or 7 acres
Al there is no way to get above the turkeys here all the red X's are pretty much the ridge line except the 4 to the south But those are fairly tall pines ,seen a nice gobbler there on sunday evening
I can see 2 possible places to get at the same level as the birds that will work too.....
Is that a structure to the left of the pond and if so...what is it?

Yes it is a house and nobody lives in it
I will post another pic later of what is further east and closer to my house
Well, if ya park at the farm place that's to the east of your pic, :innocentwhistle:
park at that white building on the right side, and walk straight north to the field edge, :innocentwhistle:
follow it around to the north side of that field edge right where it comes to a point and set up.
Hows that sound? :eyebrow:
The white line is a old high wall the light green line is a farm lane to the top field the black lines are possible ways for me to walk in the orange X's are where I have seen turkey on the ground
The blue line is the top of the hill The Green X's are where I seen turkey roosts
But most of the turkey activity is on the land that I am not allowed to hunt and that is to the left of the pond

I would sit in the am and at dark and listen for their roosting habits right now.....no calling just listening and set a game plan from that. Then when the time comes to hunt you should be in good shape to move to one of these other spots as you hear them gobble. If no gobbling at all I would hunt close to one of the roosts you have seen in the past and hope for the best.
