It finally quit raining today so I thought I'd get out this afternoon and make a few cast. I started out below the dam at Laurel lake where the Laurel river runs into the Cumberland river. I caught 4 small white bass and then the muddy water from the rain started rolling in.

So I went above the dam to fish in the lake. There were trout schooling in a bay on the top of the water. You can barley see them in the center of this pic.

Within about 45 minutes I had caught 6 or 7 of these rainbow trout.

I was getting cold and ready to leave, but I just had to make that last cast. I'm glad I did. I caught this 4lb 8oz rainbow for supper.
