I just got this in an email and did a quick check on a couple of the links and they look like they are real. Good luck everyone.
Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009. It has already started. Ammunition Accountability Legislation. Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo! The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacturer, a data base of all ammunition sales. So, they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a 05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun! This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington. Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL! To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to: http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm
Obama said he would not raise taxes on the working man,and has taxed everything the working man uses.
This is not good
What I really want to know is is how they will put a # code on # 7 shot :rolleye:
I'm gonna destroy my ammo 1 round at a time. :yoyo:
Soooooo,, when the dirtbags of the world break in & steal our coded ammo then commit an offense with it,,, do WE go to jail for buying it?? Of course we do. What a bunch of moronic imbecillic socialist ignorant wastes of human flesh & prized oxygen. :rolleye:
The links to Tennessee did not work for me?
"Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? "

Obama says a lot of things, and a lot of American people still seem to believe him. This guy is out to destroy America, not SAVE us. Will the American people ever wake up?
As much as I hate to let Obama off the hook on this, if you look at the actual Bills they were concieved before Dips**t even took office. In Pennsylvania for example...
REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY, FEBRUARY 5, 2008
South Carolina...Introduced in the Senate on April 2, 2008
Rhode Island...Date Introduced: February 26, 2008
You get the idea...
This is an act of our state senates and congress...Likely trying to get a foothold and some kind of legislation going prior to our new president taking office. The scary part is with a house full of democrats there plan could feasibly work. Start writing your senators and congressman.
Steve
He was having meetings to start this before he became pres. to make it look as though he had nothing to do with this.
He is good at the game and he IS involved in this CRIME in my opinion.
I have no doubt he planted many, many seeds during his campaign run and owes a lot of favors. Okay, he's back on the hook. It is just to easy to despize the man :eyebrownod:
What I would like to know is what are the Hunters? that was supporting Obama having to say now, there is a lot more I would like to say but I would probably be banned from this site. I have talked with my Senator from South Carolina and he says there is a very, very small chance that this bill will ever be approved but every Gun owner should contact their Representatives and let them know that gun owners are mad as hell. CC :mad3: :mad2:
I looked at several of the states, but not all, and they seem to all have basically the same idea. I had never heard of ammunitionaccountability.org but it sure seems like a group that anyone who shoots needs to keep informed about.
Jerry
He has been involved in this for a long time. Actually ever since he go into upper level politics in Illinois. He was instrumental in getting this started for them. Everything he said about "CHANGE" is coming true. He promised to change the American way of life & he is. He promised not to tax those who elected him. And he's not. He's just taxing everything we use. I would also like to know where all the gun owners are that supported him. Maybe that's why the Forums I visit have been so quiet lately. They are hiding.

Carolina,
And trappers also. I stopped going to a popular trapping site before the election because the administration were in love with Obama. Can you imagine that? Trappers in love with a radical Muslim Dink like Obama?
Rich,
I know how you feel. On another hunting board they did a poll to see how many were NRA members. The link is here . . .
http://wvsportsman.net/smf/index.php?topic=7586
NRA members = 48%
Intend to join = 18.7 %
Don't intend to join = 33.3 %
It's no wonder Obama won the election. A lot of the ones who didn't intend to join said they didn't like getting all the mail???
My response is on page 3!!
Very frustrating!!!

At least in Tennessee, the Bill is a dead horse. As of today's search, as per the Tennessee General Assembly' website, "Bill SB3395 does not exist".
From what I have read, implementing this bill would cost the state many hundreds of thousands of dollars, not only in lost sales tax but also the initial start up expense.
From what I understand, this was all started as a marketing ploy by one company. They just happen to own the Patents and machines to mark bullets. The anti's gladly jumped on the bandwagon.
This was reported on the forum back in December.

The legislation is dead in Kentucky but I don't know about other states. Ya need to check your state!!!

Semp,
Good catch. I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Well I for one am glad that 2 States have enough sense to realize the resulting damages from this. Congratulations to the folks that defeated this Bill in those States!! :yoyo: :yoyo:
:whew: I only have about 800rds here for crow hunting Jim!! :roflmao: :roflmao:
further states that the legislation is pending in 18 states, including Arizona. Well, don't get your shorts in a twist — even though snopes.com didn't know the status of this particular piece of nonsense, the office of Arizona Legislator Jim Weiers gave us the skinny.
The Ammunition Accountability Act was actually proposed last session by a Democrat. However, the bill was so "odious" to everyone that it never got a hearing, and no one ever supported it. It died a lonely and unmourned death.
found this on another site about it think its been pretty much Shot down with uncoded ammo
