Title: Contest...who interested?
Post by: FinsnFur on May 04, 2009, 07:37:26 AM
How much interest is there in having another fishing contest this year?

Jim,

Most of us have put our fishing poles away for the year.  You know you can only catch so many fish and all of our freezers are full.  There are a few die hard fishermen, but they have taken the hooks off of their lures so that they don't catch any more.  You know how it is when spring time is here and your arms hurt from cranking in fish.

Jerry

P.S.  Did the water warm up for you yet?

I'll go for it. Are we using last years rules? They worked out good.

I'm thinking of copying what we had last year for rules, yes weedwalker. It did work out good.

No Jerry the water here is still dancing around 60 degrees. I'm off all week except for Friday, so it'll be cold with no sun until then. :iroll:

May is OK with me but our freinds farther north are still on the cool side. We should have it when everybody can compete. What do you all think?

Barry, if your gonna play, how's July sound?
I'm not sure how the seasons progress up there, even though your not too far from me. By July it's usually so hot the bass have moved to deeper cooler water and are pretty spread out.
But no one's saying you have to fish for bass either.

You guys go ahead and play on your time.  I'm not worried in the least and I don't have most of your fish so give'r and I'll cheer like crazy.  Come late summer and a coyote contest and I'll be in like Flint. :wo:

On the May long weekend you can still find ice for your coolers on some of our lakes.  Fish do taste good out of cold water.

Use Bop's camera phone if you have to. Just text the pic to your e-mail address and save it. :eyebrownod:
Oh, and the date? Just write it on the FnF paper in the pic.
