When I had a closed reed call for sale a few months ago a guy emailed me and asked if I could make a closed reed with two reeds. Told him I would have to figure out how to drill the holes and turn the call. In a few weeks I had a sample for him but he never answer my email. So I kept the first one that was a little rough and made two more on special order for some local hunters. With both a double reed cotton tail and and double reed jack these things make some great sounds!

thanks for your time!
Nice calls.
Good job.

Those are cool...... :yoyo: :yoyo:
Very innovative :highclap:
I bet they really do sound good too. I had a Zepps call with two reeds in it, that made awesome sounds.
You plan on continuing to make them and sell them, or was this just a whimsical?
Jim - I will be making some for sale. Need to turn the wood that I have drilled for regular closed reed and some open reeds. Then I can set up to do the double double drilling on the lathe. I also have another dozen calls at the laser engraving shop, they should be ready next week. :eyebrow:
Thanks,
Doug
