I am still not sure if I like it the sapwood is solid and the dark part sure does change from top to bottom

The 2nd pic looks like a walnut/maple laminate. It's definitely different looking but in a good way.
I liked it until you turned it over for the second pic :laf:

Bill I have always been a big fan with woods, with sap wood coloration in them, especially the black/ebony woods and the cocobolo's with the wild sap wood in them. ;yes;
I think any deer hunter that is found of custom deer calls and sap wood, will like it. :wink:
