Monday when we arrived home after having carpel tunnel surgery on my left hand there was a hen turkey standing by the gate . During the day monday it walked in to the front yard and since then has made it's self right at home. I can walk up to about 8 feet then it gets nervous. I hope she hangs around or has her nest close because it is interesting to listen to her.
Thanks-Steve (http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/cc332/linemansteve/may09-pics008.jpg)

They sure are ugly up close aint they.
That's purdy cool Steve!!
Way cool....!
Yep purdy neat
that is awesome, quite the teacher right there
That's cool Steve. You can learn a lot of turkey talk with her hangin around like that. :yoyo:
The question I have is she is around every day, shouldn't she be on the nest. Or do they lay eggs until they are done then stay on the nest. The geese we have do this, they lay the egg in the nest and cover it and then every few days lay more till finally she stays on the nest till they hatch. Or maybe shes not bred ? Thanks for the comments and hope everyone is going to have a great Memorial Day weekend coming up. Steve
Remember Jim beauty is in the eye of the beholder :roflmao: :roflmao:
 You might be on to something there with that Hen not being bred Steve. Does this look familiar?? :rolleye:

OK Jimbo I'll do my best here buddy. :yoyo: You see what happened was linemansteve went out & shot the Tom turkey in the picture I posted. Which I obviously AND blatantly stole from linemansteve's turkey contest photos. So without Big Daddy there to do "the nasty" to Momma,,, there ainta gunna be no eggs to coddle in the nest. Got it now?? :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
Glen you may have to paint him a picture :laf: You know geeks and how sometimes they over look the easy ones.
:roflmao: :roflmao:
I heard a good one the other day on the radio. They were talking about how much money the Star Trek movie had made on it's opening weekend. Then one of the other fellas chimed in & said they could have made twice what they did if the viewers would have brought dates!!!!!!! :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
I kinda gathered that, but I wondered if it was really her Tom meaning from the same area and all.
I know Jim. I just had to razz you some tho. :eyebrownod:
