I did one Better today.........
My daughter WANTED me to take her turkey hunting on the last day today....... :sick2:
We worked some birds to about 50 yds and got cut off....
I was still so happy I let her drive for the first time (Unimproved roads) (13 yrs old) 4x4 DODGE

She told me after turkey hunting and before driving that I was the best Dad ever :sad3: :yahoo:
Right on Al she looks to be enjoying it. Have you got your fingers out of the dash yet?
Good to see the kid getting out there to hunt and spend time with Dad. Al, you can unbuckle and get out of the truck now. :whew: I remember taking my oldest girl driving for the first time, she had me so scared you couldn't get a sewing needle up my butt with a sledge hammer. :nono: Hang in there Al all will be well.
John
I was surprised ....She drives way better than her Mother! :laf: :laf: ..........She done so good on the mud road that she asked ....."Can I drive the rest of the way home??"
To which I said......Some day.....
She really made me proud.....but of course she is still scared of it.....It is when we get brave we get stupid.... :eyebrownod:
Nice young lady, Al. :congrats: That smile says it all. :yoyo:
Cool deal Al!!! :yoyo:
Just keep repeating to yourself that you are the best dad ever because one of these days you will be on the other end and no longer be the best dad. When that happens just tell yourself that it will change and when she gets to be about 20 you will again be the best dad ever. In the mean time you will still be the best dad to her, you just won't hear it.
Jerry
Very cool!
Very cool!! I miss my kids being young and doing things like that with them. In 2 more years she will not let you drive and will be driving you everywhere with her new license.
I must admit I was surprised when you said 13 year old daughter. After meeting you I thought you had Grandchildren that age. :laf:
Careful Richard.......we are the same age....
Al I am just a little older then you and I have a grand daughter that is 11 years old
Nope I wouldn't change a thing
And Jerry is right about the best dad comment
When my girls were in the age of not saying it to me they would slip up and tell their friends
MY DAD IS COOL Even though they won't tell you they still think it
And now both are in their 20's they make sure I hear those comments now....Cause they say them a little louder :roflmao:
You just lie about how old ya are Bill........ :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:
Ya' did good, Al :yoyo: ;yes; :highclap:

WTG Al! Nothing better than a day out with one of your kids, but there is something just a little different about it when it's your daughter. Makes for some special memories. Enjoy!
