I am retired, but prior to that was a school principal. I am glad that you can do the high beam work. If it had to be done by me all the roads would be on the ground because I am not working up there.

I travel anywhere east of the Mississippi river to different railroad yards that are short on help and I fuel locomotives for CSX. I'm out 5-14 days at a time. It's a truck driving job as I drive a semi truck tanker but I only drive inside of the rail yards. I pull up along side the engines and fuel them at 200 gallons a minute. Most locomotives have either a 4000 or a 4500 gallon tank. Taking off, a locomotive gets about 16 gallons to the mile per engine. But once they get up to speed they can do as good as 3 gallons per mile on flat ground.
I'm a part time Troll, whom just happens to live under bridges. I just happened to be homeless at the time, is it rented yet?
I work at a jail as a Service Tech. I fix what the idiots break.
I am an out of work Production / Manufacturing, Fabricator.....I make something from nothing......But right now I cant find Nothing...... :laf:

QuoteLooks Like yall Have very interesting jobs .
Not all of us...my main job that pays the bills is Sales / Engineer. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it! Oh and did I mention I hate it? I am working on trying to get out of my cubicle that I have resided in for the past 11 years. I am also...ahem, I suppose I should say
was a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer for 9 years. But I will be resigning from that post in a matter of a week or two. I can't give the job 110% therefore it is time to get out of it.
I have other career ambitions that I need to start focusing on in order to get out of my cubicle. As soon as some of our debt is paid up and I think it is time I intend to make my move. I don't know to exactly what yet, but I am making some kind of move in the next five years.
Okay, back to you guys with the cool jobs now :noway:
Hey Buker...didn't you also star in that sitcom about the 35 year old paper boy that lived in his parents basement too :innocentwhistle: What was the name of that show again?
Police Captain. I have been with the police department for about thirteen and a half years. Before that I spent twenty years as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot.

I am a farmer. I make lots of money selling beef cattle.
As a hobby, I am a lineman for the power company where I have flexible hours (I get called any time of the day or night), and upward mobility.
I'm retired so I hunt, ride my motorcycle, and basically do what I want when I want.

I manufacture and install safety equipment for metal stamping presses. This industry is in the crapper right now so if you would all go out and by a new car and all new appliances for your house tomorrow, I might get to eat next week!
I used to run a 200 ton stamping press....they closed the plant........ :rolleye:
Im retired from the U.S. Forest Service. Did that for 30 years in north Idaho. Worked off and on as a carpenter the next ten years. Now I hunt and fish alot. Do a little gardening. Life is good.
I'm a roofer.
This house will take 6 days to tear-off & re-roof. It's a steep enough roof that we can juuuuust walk it after we put our roof jacks & boards on the bottom.

We did the upper part yesterday & the lower part today.

Glen it was posted as sort of a joke . BUT
the truth is I will work next to any guy that will work hard so we could feed are people.
I don't care much for what nationality or were they came from .
8 things I like , man who say what they mean. man that know what needs to be done in life to get to were we need to be, man that stand beside friend when the going gets tuff.
They could be from mars and if they fit that criteria in the above sentences I would gladly work beside them with the goal of supporting our family.
the last 5 things i like are in my sig line below
ps , Let me put this in as nice a way as possible George.
you never have to say anything nicely if you dont really wont to
I'll work next to anybody that wants to work too George. Except an illegal. Their family means nothing to me. They already use our hospitals without paying their bills & now they want to be employed here illegally AND get paid cash so they don't have to pay taxes. Which means once the hospitals go belly up my,, & yours,, tax dollars will go to bailing them out over illegals not pay for services rendered.
It's all good on my end. I figured you were posting that in a humorous fashion. :yoyo:
And now back to out regularly scheduled program. :eyebrownod:
Well said HaMeR. We have seen our hospitals go belly up here in the southwest because of the illegals. We are down to one hospital in the county that will deliver a baby, all the rest had to close their maternity wards due to the cost of delivering a child with no payment. We have illegals coming through our property almost on a nightly basis, they tear down our fences, stock gets out, trash all over the place, turn on the water and don't have the decency to turn it off, crap in the fields so that you can't even let the grandkids out to play. I have no sympathy for them or the people who hire them nor the politicians who turn a blind eye to the problem. Just last week I turned our neighbor in for hiring two of them to paint his house. And don't believe the politicians that say they are only taking jobs that Americans will not do. There is no job that a American won't do if payed a decent wage.
I fight forest fires, for the U.S. Forest Service. I am a captain on a Hot Shot crew in northern Ca. I have been doing this for the last 11 years, as of right now 8-28-09 I'm in southern Ca. for the 4th time this summer. We are a national resource, have done hurricane relief, was ordered to go to the twin towers, but was canceled. Before that I was a ranch hand in central Montana, gosh I miss Montana.
Some people do not understand what the word ILLEGAL means when it comes to wet backs. But take ILLEGAL game and see what happens. :rolleye:
I am a truck driver. I am hauling water in the oilfield at the moment, but I used to do over the road and have been thinking about going back. The best part would be the chance to stop in and meet a lot of the fins family.
