Some of Ted Williams’ hunting and fishing items went missing at an auction preview in Swanzey, New Hampshire, last Thursday. Williams’ hunting license, and fishing hole notes attached to a fishing hat, were stolen at the living estate of Dolores Wettach Williams, the Red Sox legend’s third wife.
John Pappas, the auctioneer, noted that half a dozen people attended the auction at the Knotty Pine Auction Service, according to the Union Leader.
