I think I would not take another fish to him and tell everyone you know not to as well. That turned out horrible :pout: It looks like a fish that sat in the sun for to long and dehydrated.

Please tell us you didn't pay him for that...

I'm not real hip on it either.
By the looks of it he had to do some form shaving to get the skin to fit, but It doesnt appear that he even bothered to smooth the form out or fill in the areas that gave him trouble. The fish is full of bumps dips and ripples.

like Jim stated it looks as if he shaved it to fit the skin or to fit under that branch.  The head almost looks eel like.   Were all the fish done by the same guy ?  the other mounts look fine.

the one brown was done by the same guy, and I thought it looked pretty good but then you look at mine and it looks like crap. The trout and muskie both didnt have the girth that they sould have had. And yes coulter i had to pay for it but im gonna have a talk to him cause im not a happy feller

Yeah, I would talk to him too. I hope he does something to make up for that mount. I would be leary about taking anything else to him though.

That Crappie looks awesome...that bis one big son of a gun!!

Dave, when I first started at the top of the pics I was hopeing you weren't looking for a pat on the back for the mount. :rolleye: He did a BAD job on it. I'd have to have a serious talk with that guy about some $$$. But I would give him plenty of free advertisement.

I try to avoid the mounting fellas and head strait for the carving fellas. They generally do it exactly to the specifications of your fish down to the last scar.

Check this fella out...I know he was working on his site, so most of his stuff might not be up and running yet, but if it is...look for his gallary.

In my opinion the way the fish has its head stuck under the stump just plain looks odd like his heads trapped. Id not be very happy personally.
