Good looking calls and I too really like the enclosed reed call. I am thinking that the mouthpiece is Cocobolo, but am not sure if the barrel is Bocote burl or something else. Either way it is something else!

Yes the mouth piece is cocobola and the barrel is Bocote burl.It really was a chore to turn but I think I stopped in the right place :eyebrow:

Like usual Bill they are aawesome looking calls and like the other guys I too think the closed reed is too cool :yoyo: Almost looks like a picture of a dog on that barrel :shrug:

Did ya hafta fill the knot with something?
Or just leave it a "void" ?
I filled the knot with heavy CA glue and sanded while it was wet so the sanding dust would stick.
I had a spot on the other side I had to fill also
That's what I figured, but couldn't tell for sure from the pics.
Cool call, grain's definitely got some character to it.
That closed reed is KILLER Bill!
