Did anybody else see the show on National Geographic awhile back on the three
guys that were trying to catch the new world record bass? They caught it a few
years ago ( I don't remember the exact dates or weights) and it weighed 21 lbs
and some oz.s Somebody put like a million dollar bounty on it.They fished for it for
the next several years. They ended up catching it again a few years later. They
weighed it and it weighed 25 lbs. and some oz.s They knew it was the same one
because it had a mark on it, they nicknamed her Dottie. They ended up releasing
her because they foul hooked her. I thought that was a class act. At the end of
the show one of the park rangers called one of the guys up because they found
a fish floating dead that they thought might be Dottie, he came and identified it
and it was her, she then weighed like 19 lbs. Pretty cool show. I'm sure a guy could
search it and find the info about it if interested.
It can only tie the IGFA record not beat it:
