Two Wisconsin men face seven conservation charges of illegally shooting a 26-point buck during archery season.
The deer is reportedly the largest trophy deer ever killed in Dodge County. Investigations began in January.
Wayne Nisiewicz, 45, and Anthony Nisiewicz, 24, both of Horicon could face possible jail time, large fines and loss of hunting privileges according to DNR conservation warden Paul Nell.
Anthony Nisiewicz was also charged with providing false deer registration information, and Wayne Nisiewicz was also charged with obstructing a conservation warden.
What was illegal about it? Out of season?
I believe they used a rifle during archery season. Maybe Jim has heard and can provide more info.
