Title: Be on time for the old folks!
Post by: alscalls on August 24, 2009, 01:23:34 PM
I went to the post office today and it was 1:29pm.....I knew they did not come back from lunch until 1:30pm so I had no problem waiting......Well there was a line of about 11-12 people waiting to get in and at the head of the line was an elderly woman weighing I guess about 90lbs. Sitting on the low window sill looking at her watch.
At 1:30pm on the nose she got up and politely knocked on the door with a sign on it saying  "PRIVATE"......Noyhing
All the while you could hear the employees talking in the back while enjoying lunch....one of em says....."They can just wait as I did not get to go to lunch till late!"
This made the elderly woman visibly angry. At 1:34pm she launched from her perch upon the window sill and Kicked the employee door HARD....probably 15 times....it looked like the thing was going to come out of the wall frame and all!   :roflmao: :roflmao:

A woman came to the door and simply said..."I am sorry we are running late as we did not go to lunch till late.....
The elderly woman replied "THAT AINT WHAT YOUR SIGN SAYS>>>>>>NOW OPEN THE DOOR I GOT THINGS TO DO ON TIME!!!!
They opened and as the woman was trying to pay the postal worker asked if she needed any stamps? she said no then she was asked if she needed a passport application...she said no.....the questions continued till I thought the woman was going to explode!!!!
When she finally left the giggling started ..........and I could not stop all the way home.   :laf: :laf: :laf:

They should not have gone to lunch all at the same time. They should run it in 1/2hr intervals so the lobby can stay open all day. I woulda been pissed too. Just more gubment dumbness.  :rolleye:

James and Al,

Do I really need to say it again, slower, so that you will understand?

Am there, do that.
