I am towing a home made paddle boat that is 32 ft long 14 ft high and 10 ft 8 inches wide
I am putting the boat in the river at the Rayland Marina that is about 90 mile trip one way
This should be an exciting day for me
If I remember the camera I will be taking pics and posting them here
That should be interesting to say the least :highclap:. Hope they let you pull the whistle :laf:
Oh dont tell him that Barry :doh2:
He spends too much time now pulling his whistle :rolleye:
:laf:
Home made?? Be sure ya got a life jacket, Bill. :eyebrownod:
And who's paddleing?
:nono: :laf:
Well the this boat is powered by a little Isuzu diesel engine and the paddle wheels are driven by hydrolics
Semp This boat has many hours in the water I didn't help build it so it should be safe :laf:
Jim
It is my whistle :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Those are pretty cool to see  We got one that comes through up here on the Mississippi once in a while and it really draws a crowd.

Yeah, yeah I know. A little head space and timing issue with photobucket. :madd: :madd:
Pat
Bill could you bring up your picture on your phone and then take a close up of it with your camera :wo:.
We got one here in town that gives rides over to Blennerhaset Island on the Ohio river.
I have had the pleasure of hunting that Island twice now I drew a doe tag the first year.....had to pass 3 HUGE bucks.
Then I drew a Buck tag the second year and shot a respectable 7 point in the last 10 min. of the hunt.
They rebuilt the old mansion over there and give tours......while checking in my 7 point a MONSTER buck was on the front lawn just watching us.....knowing full well we could not hunt there. :laf: :laf:
Chris said she will look for a USB cord today, and I will do my best to post some pics
As Promised

Thanks Bill :yoyo: I ain't never seen nothing like any of those pics [except the power plant]. That was fun looking so being there had to be a blast. That river ain't very deep is it?
Barry
I don't know for sure how deep the river is but have been told it is 50 ft deep in places
Thanks Bill. Looks like great fun.
Pat
It was alot of fun
I get to go back down on the 16th and haul er home too
That is pretty cool Bill...nothing better than playing with boats  So do you have a captains license or was that just a figure of speech  I've thought about taking the test for one, but I thought I would wait until I had a bigger boat first :iroll:
Steve
Just a figure of speach
That was the first time I ever had the chance to run a boat and it lasted about 10 minutes before they thought it would be best if the 12 year old boy would take over  :roflmao: :roflmao:
Actually the Ohio river averages around 30 feet in depth, but because of the damming they have done there are places that it runs 150 to 160 feet deep.
I knew someone around here knew more about it then I did

My mistake then Bill as I was looking at the heading up river pic I noticed the water only came halfway up on the duck :innocentwhistle:
:roflmao: Most of the time Barry :roflmao:
Purdy neat Bill!! Thanks for sharing. :yoyo:
Barry, I live very close to the Ohio River and grew up trapping it.... I have seen 35-40 ft on the fish finder I suppose some places are deeper........all depends on how much rain ya got though...... :laf: :laf:
A great deal of it is 20 ft or less........Nothing like what I saw on the Niagara river (steelhead fishing)....150ft :shock2:
