The blueberries were in season and we really enjoyed them.

These other berries were pretty dry. No matter how long they soaked, they still tasted like pooh!

The weather wasn't very good. We got rained on a couple of times, but that wasn't really the problem. The wind blew like an S.O.B. and we were shore bound on three out of four fishing days. Fortunately, our travel days weren't too bad. The mosquitos were kept pretty much at bay when the wind blew hard, but were brutal some other times. Especially at the beginning and ending of the portages and right around sunset. Thermacells and bug juice with lots of deet controlled the little bastards pretty well.
We strung some tarps as wind breaks and hunkered down behind them.

We got some of this, but the wind was much more of a problem than the rain.

Semp,
Quetico Provincial Park. Its a million plus acres of wilderness in Canada, just across the border from Minnesota.
