Title: Coyote track, South Carolina

I found this track this week. It is quite larger than what I am normally used to seeing around here. It is so big I almost mistaked for a dog. What do you guys think. The other foot prints were a tad bit smaller.

But whats the white stuff all over the ground?

micalite, my spelling could be off and I'm sure that it is. Its a mineral found in the soil here in South Carolina. They mine it to make Oil Dry, Filters, Cat litter, etc. When it gets wet it gets slick

Not to change the subject, you tweaked my interest....but were you by a mine, or does everyone just breath that stuff all over the state?
