Man what a great morning !! get set-up on the river flat knowing the geese were in town all night. Things were lookin up, weather, very little fog all's well. Bout 7 am I hear the first honks. My buds and I hunker down and I start up on the call.
HERE THEY COME !!! dont look up, dont move I whisper loudly...
1 circle dont shoot..
2 circles in range, hold up yet....
3 circles... get ready... wings whistling and cupped, me on the call, 15 yds and I get
all caught up in the moment and I was in awe....
I NEVER CALLED THE SHOT !!!!! dang birds about hit the ground and away they went
with my buds looking at me like I'm crazy or wanting to kick my ass...
:doh2: I couldnt help it.. all them birds worked to the spread and call so well I just sat
there and watched in amazment.
Just hope we didnt educate them too much, we'll be back tomorrow and I'm letting somebody
else call the shot !! :eyebrownod:
