I saw this link about how to skin a coyote over at HM and thought some of you might be interested.

We need more posts like this as I run into people all of the time that do not know how to skin......I fear it is becoming a lost art.
I could not view the Video to see how he does it but is a subject that too many folks avoid.
Thanks Semp.

Very nice. He's in the APC uh?

I got a little nauseous when I seen the Borax on the table. But then he says it's for the ear tips.
I couldn't set and watch it all, but it looked good.

Did he use the borax on the whole hide then.   :sad3:

He uses the Borax on the ear tips & the lips. He also uses it to dry his hands quick if needed.

Thanks for posting that Semp.  My Grandad taught me when I was a kid but its been several years since I saw someone else do it and I learn something everytime I see it done.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with Him.  Rev 6:8

I ran across this video the other day... he's a little quicker at it than I am!  :laf:  I guess having done it for a living will speed ya up though.  Great video Semp!

Very informative! i liked this video. I have never seen anyone skin a coyote. Since in the East they don't bring nothing. I still think I might someday like to keep a coat.

Well I didn't watch the video because of the dang dial-up mode I'm on! It would take forever to download it!

But I feel confident having trapped for several years I've skinned more than my fair share of them critters!
