THO Game Calls

For those of you who do not know Steve, let me vouch for him.  He is a gentleman and a friend to call makers and caller around the world.  If you want to see a truly impressive collection of duck calls, visit his site and check them out

WARNING

There is one call in the collection that might not be appropriate for children and the finer sex

the link is   http://www.quackerstackerduckcalls.com/new_page_1.htm

Call makers, if you want to make your own tone boards, Steve also sells the best jig I have ever used.  I have three of them now.   He sells them in 5/8 and 3/4 and in distress and howler at a more than fair price for what you get.  He also makes and sells mandrals.

We spoke on the phone this evening and I dropped a lot of names.  Steve is beginning to collect custom predator calls and there are a number of call makers whose calls would make excellent additions to his new collection.

It's great to see that predator calls are getting some recognition from some of the collectors of other types of calls.  We are coming of age.

Steve will be an asset to the call makers here as he has great products and he will certainly lend a lot of credability to the custom call makers who specialize in predator calls.

Steve makes a darn fine mandrel for turning as well. I use one I got from him on a good percentage of my predator, owl, deer and duck calls.

Quackerstacker,

I have viewed that collection site several times before and it is unbelievable.  I do have one question and one statement.

Question - Where are the THO calls?

Statement - It would take a pretty gay man to blow that one call.   :roflmao:  No insult intended, just joking with you.

Welcome to FnF.

the THO calls have been ordered :yoyo:.they are the first predator calls in the new collection. from what i have seen from this site i will go broke fast, the wish list keeps getting longer. as for the "special call" on my site, a couple of years ago my wife and i were at the reelfoot waterfowl show  when my wife wanted to do some trading with other callmakers.  she took one of my calls and approached a neighboring booth.  this man agreed to trade with her and told her he had the PERFECT call just for her.  he pulled out an old sock with an extremely long call inside.  after completing the trade she took it out of the sock and was surprised at her new treasure!  the guy asked her to try it out and she was too embarrassed.  he also tried to talk her into entering the calling contest that was about to start.  she told the man that she had no idea how to blow a call and he replied... honey, i don't think it matters what it sounds like...if you get up there and blow that thing...you will be sure to WIN!!!  we laughed about that the next two days!  she still likes to tell people about HER call and the story behind it!!!  :laf: :laf:  visiting with the callmakers and collectors along this journey is what it is all about. the new friends, the stories are what makes it fun, the calls are secondary. i look forward to meeting new callmakers along the way.

Quackerstacker,

Thanks for the information.  Glad to hear that some of Al's calls will be in your new collection.  With the quality of the calls you have, I think you will be impressed with Al's.  Also glad to hear that the call in question belongs to your wife.  Great story.

THO Game Calls

Hey Jerry,

Your name was one I dropped :)  And Seves collection would not be complete without one of your calls, and a lot of other guys on this forums too.

Brian, RJ, HuntnCarve, and a bunch of other folks.  And don't forget the new guys.  They now have something to really work for.
