I've been shooting the same load out of my 44mag for years Hornady 240gr XTP on top of H-100 and it runs about 1400 fps. I am now running out of my stock pile of Hornady bullets and wanna dabble in some different loads.

Anybody wanna share some load data that is bad on the Whitetail population?

Thanks WWW

Check out this Buffalo Bore ammo, Doug.  A 340 grain bullet, 1478 fps and 1649 foot pounds of energy, it ought to get the job done.  +P+ ammo.

Semp, I'm afraid they would shake my 629 Classic apart? I better stick to a lil milder load!

Thats a bad boy though!

My Ruger Super Redhawk .44 magnum likes the 300 grain Hornady XTP's atop of 18 grains of AA-No.9  Pretty stout whitetail load.  But it dropped them all in their tracks.

Those super hot Buffalo Bore cartridges can only be fired in Rugers and Freedom Arms handguns plus a very few others.   S&W's need not apply.  They could very well blow up.
