One problem when ordering parts is knowing what brand/model gun you have and what parts you need to order. Parts and shipping can be expensive and some companies do not like to take back mis-ordered parts.

With your description and patent date I’d bet it’s a model 1915 but I could be wrong.  :doh2:

Does it happen to look like this one?

Parts are getting pretty scarce for those old timers. Another place you may want to check is Gun Parts Corp. www.gunpartscorp.com/
Tell them what shotgun you have and hopefully they will have the parts you need in stock.
Over the past decades Savage/Stevens has built a boat load of SxS shotguns. Don’t quote me on this but I believe the 311, 315 and 515 are a few models that may have used the 1915 innards.

riverboss, without knowing your background and expertise in gun repair I’ll share a few little tricks that could help save the day. If a company is using a common patent (Browning for example) some parts will interchange between brands and models but those parts will most likely need to be hand fitted to work correctly. Trust me when I say box lock shotguns are not the easiest critters to work on. Restoring a box lock to a safe working condition often takes time, lots of trial and error and dedication. I would suggest using a camera, as you break the gun down, take plenty of pictures. This will give you reference points when you go to put things back together. Also it helps to disassemble the action over a card board box. The box will help catch any small parts that happen to explode out of the action. Give extra attention to those old screw heads, some are soft and will deform or even strip out.
I hope you get the old girl up and running.

Thanks guys it does look like the one coyotehunter 1 posted has the same parts, i looked up gunparts warehouse and they didnt show pics and i dont know what some of the parts i need are called, Pics are better for me as i am some what challenged in the gun smithing area, :laf: but i have put 2 new triggers in it that i got with the gun but they are to short and dont reach the thing that makes the saftey work and in the process i broke a small part and it is missing a screw also.  This gun is in great shape it even has some case hardening left on the reciever i will post some pics soon.
