I was using a tiny bobber, small hook and a small piece of power-bait pumpkin worm, deadly panfish rig:

Looks like a nice one on the bottom there.
Chuncks of a powerbait really? They must have been going off the sweet smell of it

Jimbo, I patented this technique lemme tell ya, a small bobber, hook and the powerbait worm chunk they hit it nonstop..you can see the chunk of worm in the last pic...advantages are no messy live bait and the worm stays on the hook for many, many fish, and one worm will last you for a month, this also works on trout!....I let those swim too lazy to clean em that day ha-ha.

Using this set up is ALOT easier then live bait when fishing with kids also!

Thats just plain, I say thats just plain CRAZY! :doh2:
Those fish out East must not be as smart as their more Midwestern Brethren.

Ok, ok....I am going to try it though :eyebrow:

:congrats: man that's a chuncker red ear in the top pic great eater and fun as heck to catch too!

nastygunz

Those red ears are beauties I used to keep some in an aquarium...JC, Id be curious to see how you do!..I have also had success with a small bobber using various flies, dry and wet..with panfish and trout...and a bobber in a river with a brown wooly bugger or power bait worm on it...DEADLY on smallmouth..or a bobber with a small lure/jig...I think bobber fishing is a dying art form

FinsnFur

It is a dying art form :eyebrownod: I have a really hard time bringing myself to do it. I guessing I dont have the patience, I dont know.
I have to be covering water, I feel like I'm missing so many opportunities if I set and fish in one spot with a bobber. My mind goes nuts with the possibilities. :doh2:
But I do wanna try this technique of yours :eyebrow:

slagmaker

I use it and have a lot of luck. But I use a small jig head and a tube worm under a tiny little bobber.
Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.
