Has anyone ever seen a Remington Nylon 76 22 Cal. rifle? It is a lever action, its in pretty good shape, I traded for it and a PSE bow. It ought to make a good trapline gun, it is very lightweight. It is the first one like it I have ever seen, it ought to be a good collector gun. Just wondering if ant of you guys had ever seen one.

The only Nylon 66 I have ever seen have been auto's. They made a black stock chrome barrel version and a brown stocked one too. You may have a collectors item, they quit making those several years ago I think.

They are an all weather gun, but not what I would call the most accurate rifle.  But on a trapline, you aren't going to be trying to shoot a squirrel in the head at 40 yards.  The stocks are not very  stiff and that seems to hurt the accuracy.  The Nylons are becoming more collectable and the prices have started to come up.

Thanks for the info, I have ordered the owners manual from Remington. I also asked them for info on getting it re-blued and reconditioned. It is in pretty good shape I would just like to get it in excellent condition. I am going to use it for a trapline gun. Thanks again guys for the info, it was very helpful! Tom

I had the lever one back in the early 80's wish I still had it. I still got a 77 10c its just like the 66 except it has a ten round clip. I got good accuracy in the clip version killed a lot of squirrels and rabbits with it.

I took the gun out and sighted the scope in, it is pretty accurate. I think it shoots better than the Marlin semi auto I had.

Hey clousewt,
I have one of these, and I found the manual on the internet in a PDF.
I have a quwestion, my safety lever appears to be bent about 15 degrees.  I'm not sure that's right.
This is the link that takes you to the manual.
Mine's in pretty good shape, oil got old in the action, but that's all cleaned out now.
