My grandson Josh has been recuperating from knee surgery.  He got out for a couple stands on January 25 and killed a real nice male. Called him in from about 300 yds and put one in his boiler room when he stopped at 125 yds.. He went out today and called two big males in, and busted them both with his 243 at a distance of 225 yds.  Coyote fur on snow is a pretty sight.  Here are pictures of all three.

Good observation, John P.  Funny thing about Josh, when I was teaching him about hunting coyotes, it took me about 6 months to get him to quit "Peeking" as he squeezed off a shot at a coyote.  He could sit there on a benchrest and shoot 1/2" groups all day long, but when coyotes showed up, he was missing and I could easily see why.  Once he quit that stuff, he is pure death on them now.  He has killed several with his bow while deer hunting.

I'll pass on the good wishes for his recovery. I know he will appreciate them.

Take your kids hunting and you won't have to hunt your kids!
