A children’s book that is part of the Common Core curriculum portrays white voters as racists who would never vote for Obama for president. The book called, “Barack Obama,” says: “Some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president”, the book reads. This is in spite of the fact that millions of whites voted for the sitting president.

Everyone with children or grandchildren better wake up and pay attention. Education is where the progressives, liberals, socialist, whatever you call them are in MAJOR control. At first it was on the college campus's, but it is full steam ahead in elementary, middle, and high schools. Their whole purpose is to control the minds of young children.

For years it was evolution vs creation, then they were rewriting the American history books, then it was the English literature reading lists, now it's in the math classes and the stupid new math methods.  :iroll:

When history doesn't follow the liberal agenda, they write stories for the kids painting history the way they want it to be. They leave out the truth and indoctrinate our youth early on to accept the spin.

When parents take the time to make sure their kids understand the fallacies in some of the nonsense they are taught and the truth about what they are not taught in public schools, things start becoming interesting for the institutionalized teachers, the kids and the parents.

Nothing like getting a complaint from a teacher about your child disrupting history class by letting the teacher know the books are leaving out this part or that part. What's better yet is going and talking to the teacher and demonstrating to said teacher that the kid was right. You would think some teachers would be encouraged by kids who are seeking the truth about history instead of just being spoon fed, but many take offense to students pointing out as Paul Harvey used to say, "the rest of the story".

Parents are the greatest deterrent to kids being indoctrinated in our public schools and parents owe it to their kids to ensure they know the truth about this country and all its history, not just the sanitized politically correct versions. That feel good crap is one of the reason we have the entitlement mentality we do today with many of our youth.  :argh:
