My niece took this on a recent skiing trip to I believe Durango, Colorado:

 For all you exotic deer experts is that a Whitetail? Looks a little different to me.

That is a Mule Deer.

I figured it might be by the white rump patch.

Yep.  Typical mule deer.

Last time I was in Durango a 2x3 a little bigger than this one spent the morning across the road/street from our motel, in a living room size patch of brush.

Too bad we can't all meet for lunch today in Durango!

 When I was a kid we rarely had pork or beef but we always had plenty of venison  :biggrin:
