81 degrees yesterday....31 today with a predicted 6 to 12 inches of snow by morning
To make it even better, the river is out of her banks and flooding into the streets of the river towns and it's expected to reach a 20 year high of 20 feet.
That would make her 13 foot above normal river stage. Thats going to take out a LOT of people if it does.
Glad I dont live down in the valley :whew:

I just realized yesterday I contemplated running the AC.
I'm actually firing up the wood stove this morning  :laf:

81 to 31:  That's a BIG shift in temps.

It's a weird spring all over.  Our mild coastal climate continues with unrelenting cold days, still frosting almost every night and cold days, even when the sun comes out.  Longest cold spell anyone knows of and it doesn't let up, weeks past our normal time to plant a garden.

That drone footage was crazy. Does that happen a lot up there?

Well the Mississippi comes up every spring, yes. Melting snow, rainfall...etc.
Usually it's bearable since were all used to it, to a certain extent.
But they are predicting this year to be the highest it has been for 20 years.

Hawks Feather

We had about a 35 degree drop, but that does not compare to your 50. Around here we don't get the flooding unless there is still ice in the river and when that happens it becomes a real mess. Even though I live in town and six blocks from the river we are on high ground. If we would get flooding the entire downtown would be under water.

Jim, maybe you can run the AC to adjust for the wood burner if it gets too hot in the house.
