The new barrel

After two years of promising myself to re barrel my 03 Springfield, I did it.

Thinking, what the hell, pick up an Adams and Bennett 26" varmint target barrel from Midway.
My gunsmith cut the threads, target chamber and target crown and head spaced for only $200.

Re sized and trimmed about 150 cases reloaded about 60 and took off for the range.
The first groups were about 1.5-2". By the time I was half through the groups started shrinking. 15 were
down to 1" and the final 10 were under 1" at 100 meters.

Glad I did it. Now gotta fine tune the reloads and see how tight I can them.

Put on a Timney target trigger on the action about a year ago.
