I like the ones on the right. Are those from oak sap wood?

Yes VV Those are oak but I doubt they are sap wood I picked up those pieces from a place that builds railing for staircases

They seem so lite colored that's why I asked.

As for those stair railing companys ... wouldn't surprise me in the least iffen it was sap.
