Fellers,

Had this new call design and wood combo floating around in my head for a short while now.  I've done two pieces similar to this one in the past but never had one that met up at the band.  I always either did just a straight shank or a shank that ended in the forming of a lanyard groove.  See pic below....

You can kind of see the shank I'm talking about in the background...

So anyhow I jotted down the idea so I wouldn't forget it when I did have some free time to do some turning.
Anyhow thought you all might like to see the finished product.

I know the pics are not the best but the camera phone's all I had in the shop that night.

Thanks for looking everyone!  It's a pleasure as always...

Thanks guys!

This call was a first for me but it won't be the last.  I enjoyed the challenge of getting a "seem less" fit between the two bodies.

Bowster,  the top call I made quite some time ago with the intent of giving it to my dad for Christmas.  That didn't work because I made a maple/acrylic call that I liked better. So he got that one.

Thanks for the compliments Bill, Yoe, Yerry,  Ham, and Toddy.  Like I said, it's always a pleasure to share your company!

Take care, and talk to you all soon.
