Thought I'd turn one out this afternoon. I wanted to do one without a metal band.
I guess this was what was inside when I got done spinnin.
Far from complete, not done sandin, no finish, about 4" tall.
Ya like? No like? Please critique away. Thanks, Scott

Hawks Feather

Looks pretty nice and since this is what it looks like BEFORE you start sanding and finishing, I will be looking forward to the "finished" call.

That looks nice, can't wait for the finished product.

FinsnFur

Looks real good to me. I like that a lot.
Very clean, crisp, and most importantly uniform edges.

I can see a style like that making a beautiful 3 piece call also, with three different types of wood.

i wouldnt throw ir away (actually without playing with it a little i should just shut-up but) ; i usually hold my calls near the end so i little bit of a bell/swell would be nice if useing it. other than that its pretty and has some good possiabilties as noted before.

Thanks guys. One of those where ya put a piece of wood on the lathe with nothin really in mind, and what ever comes out, comes out.
That would be perty cool Jim, might hafta try that some time. Thanks

THO Game Calls

You are an amazing wood turner.  There is a ton of detail in that call, and it looks well proportioned too.

Nice job
