This live duck hunting cam (  http://www.duckhuntinglive.com/ ) got me thinking, why cant someone set up a cam with some roadkill and see what critters come and hit it ?

That would be interesting to see some live coyote carnage on fresh roadkill.  Maybe even have infrared for night viewing ?  I wouldnt mind sitting around and drinking some suds while watching the coyote cam.

Someones gotta do it !!!

I thought I was thinking once before too, but it turned out to be just another wet fart :puke: :roflmao: Which leads me to one of my favorite sayings: "never trust a fart" :nofgr:

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't just think about it - do it. Somebody...anybody

one of the biggest obstacles would be keeping batteries up in cold weather.  Might be a proposed summer project for this person ?  The only wireless internet connections around here are from the school and I've been told its pretty much hack free ( yea right )  unless someone gets the codes/passwords er whatever you need.

We used a solar panel on our trail cam batteries and put a charge controller on it so it would not discharge or over charge. 12v or 6v

I've been pondering this whole process.
I wanna know how this guy powers the camera, AND the internet connection.
Granted they have wireless cams, ok there's the internet connection and it may be powered by batteries. But now whats the skinny on shooting the data to a website? It's going to have to be connected to a computer first somewhere, somehow. :wo:

Quite a few people on the duck huntin site are asking the same question but getting no response.  They said it will be mic'ed up for audio in a week or so.    :wo:

Ask him what?  For a loan?  :laf:

Ask how it all works and what powers it......we could convert it to a redneck version and save $$
I wonder if some of these weather men with their weather cams would help with how too's?

Every once in a while they will shoot a hog and throw it out in front of one of their cameras.

Good links Jeb :eyebrow:
I did a little research and came to the conclusion that it would run some major coin to materialize such a thing, and by the looks of the set up description on one of your links I wasn't too far off. :nono:

Jimbo ----------   A complete mobile internet satellite system with generator/batteries ..Ultimate RedNeck System!  j/k but they do sell it.

They also use cell phone cards for the internet connection.

Man a guy would have to have a chunky budget to pull it all off. Especially if your adding cell phone air time to the mix.
And plus the time to monitor all the equipment  :doh2:
