108 Bobcat Pics

Set my I40 up over last weeks turkey carcass (sp).  Sat there for 6 days.  I checked it Fri morning after my father tagged his turkey. Here's a few of the pics.

There has to be more to this story....I mean these pics arent easy to get I know I have done it. How on earth did you get so many? and Where was the turkey from? I am just curious cause I used to do a lot of this trail cam thing. And I hope to do more if I can learn more about it. It would be of great help.

third pic down if ya cropped it about mid belly I bet a bunch on hunting pa would swear it to be a mountian lion.  had a guy talkin my ear off tonight at letterkenny resivior while I was fishin about a mountian lion his buddy killed that had a pa game commision tag in its ear.  hope it wasn't a bobcat.  great pics.  hope ya get a tag this year.

Not much to tell really.  I shot a jake last Sat., the opening day of Pa. turkey season.  After I removed the breast meat I took the turkey and the camera to a spot near a stream.  Now mind you this area is very rugged, steep hills, and lots and lots of mountain.  There is a very healthy cat population in this area.

I used a wire coat hanger to secure the turkey to the tree otherwise it would just get drug off very quickly.  Hanging above the turkey is a scent dripper with coyote urine.  I was hoping to bring in a coyote.  The camera was set at 60 second intervals but takes 3 pics each time the camera is triggered.  Meaning when triggered the camera takes a pic.  waits 10 seconds and takes another pic. waits 10 seconds and takes another pic.  60 seconds later if the cat is still there it starts all over.

I believe the trick is to secure the bait so it can't be removed. otherwise I wouldn't have so many pics.

My father killed a turkey on Fri while we were at camp so we moved the camera to a new location and did the same set up.  I'm heading back to camp next weekend so I'll see what has visited the camera then.

No secrets, just happens to be a good area with a secure food source.

I have the same trouble with those yotes..........have you ever tried hanging your bait? I haven't tried yet but a trapper friend says I should hang it a couple feet off the ground and see what has happens.

The time on one of those pictures was 1:44 PM that goes to show you that cats do feed in the middle of the day. Seeing that will make me stay on stand a little longer during the mid day hours.
