1 liter pop bottle......electric tape.......black trash bag.........cut piece of another pop bottle for the V shape foot........
string.......and a chip clip.
you can punch a hole in the V foot to tie the srting and use the chip clip to hang it from a tree or clip directly too the foot around a branch. Be creative and add wings with an added dowel rod and piece of trash bag.

what kind ya get Jim ?   Did ya get them GHG fully flocked ?  if so 7 bucks is a good deal, if you got the flambeau then its a little steep.

FinsnFur

No, I can't remember what kind they are.....I'll have to take a gander and they're out in the shop.
I thought I put pics up of em once. They are upright black plastic with a little stem on the bottom to poke em into the ground.

I'm gonna add to this thread although I know absolutely nothing about crow hunting.
I've never crow hunted till about 2 weeks ago. My wife wanted to shoot something & I figured that would be a good way to get her started.

Anyway, I've got a motorized decoy from Mr. George Brint @ decoy heart, all I can say is it worked very well on the few trips that I've made, they came in with their wings folded back & were absolutely dive bombing the decoy. On top of that we were calling last weekend & had a gray fox that almost ran away with the decoy.

Mr. Brint is a good fella & he sells a good product, I recommend the decoy if you ever get a chance to try one out. :yoyo:

Think I've looked that one up before and it looks great.    Here in PA we can use electronic callers for crow, but no electronic decoys.

Motion like that decoy provides should draw em in well, if it were legal for me you know I'd have one in a heartbeat !!!  :eyebrow:

SIlencer,
I FINALLY made it to the post office yesterday :doh2:, you should see the call soon! :yoyo:

Thanks    :yoyo:   :thumb2:   2 weeks away and counting for the early bird special  ;yes; :yahoo:

I hope you enjoy it. I tuned it up in the "middle". It's got some low end but it will still get loud if you want it to.

Hey I find those all the time. The inmates have mules throw them over the fence and they are generally full of tobacco products.

Rprince: I assume you are talking about the Crippled Crow from George Brint. If so, it is a real winner.  It is the very decoy I was using in conjunction with the Yote Coyote decoy a couple of weeks ago, and had crows coming in hot and heavy.  I have also had really good results using it with both the Foxpro Owl or the Em-Man Hawk.  Scatter a few dead crow decoys around, and put the crippled crow right under any of the mentioned decoys, and go for the Dying Crow sound.  You can put the Mojo Crow into the mix, like he is fighting the killer, and they really get mad.  Our crow season opens Sept. 1, and I look forward to that every year.

Al, thats what I'm talking about, Mr. Brint make some good stuff & he is a nice guy to boot. I've known him for a while but we've been in fairly close contact in the past couple of years, I recommend his products to anyone. :yoyo:

That's pretty cool Al. Nice little tidbit there. A dozen or so like you have mixed up with an owl and one of those $50 fancy gizmos would make a heck of a set up. Nice idea buddy.  :highclap:
