Looks like you can follow THO's directions pretty well and then adapt it to become a carrier.  Hice looking carrier.

Dick also makes some pretty nice lanyards.

Jerry is right.  Al posted the flat braid how-to.  I just used it to come up with a carrier.  I wouldn't have been able to do it if it wasn't such a good post.
