It was 17 when I first got out there, not bad until the wind kicked up.
The setup I have is on a corn field that borders the river. To be honest if my shooting were better I should have had some green heads. Only 1 small flock of mallards worked my goose spread. The geese stayed at the same spot on the river all day right in town. Musta been 80 or more.
I seen more waterfowl in one day yesterday than all season long.
Most were working the river and with no boat I didnt want to shoot and loose any.
I'd seen drake and hen hooded mergs, drake and hen common mergs, and tons of drake mallards, hardly an hens.
I also witnessed a bald eagle try and take a mallard right in front of me.
I really need to invest in a boat for sure !!!

This is all I have to show  :madd: heres a quick pic of my setup, the river is directly behind me about 25yds, I dont have a layout blind so I built a blind in the brush. Should have had some dead ducks in there to show but oh well

OH, there was fox tracks all over that field.  I've called there before without any luck, gonna have to give it a go again in the future.
