I am looking to dress my old Mossberg 835 Ultimag up with a tactical stock....I have looked at a few and like the adjustable ones with the shell holder...and suggestions or experience with one would be appreciated.

Nick got one of the knocks butstocks.....it is real nice to shoot. but he also got the pistol grip fore end and OUCH that thing is murder on ya with magnum loads......I think he just changed the fore end but I aint sure what he got yet. (My 2 Cents)

+1 with Al,
I have a 870 that was an Ohio State police gun that they sold when they upgraded.  It had the Remington factory folding metal stock and pistol grip.  I hated that thing.  It really punished you with the heavier loads.  I soon replaced it with the standard Remington black polymer stock and forend and like them a lot better!!.  Think twice about the tactical.  They might look cool, but I'm not sure they are practical!!??
