Stabilized Buckeye Burl/Antler

Had a buddy in Texas ask me to make one out of Buckeye Burl several months ago...had a heck of a time finding some. Finaly found a good supply. It's a Stabilized Buckeye Burl barrel with an o-ring fitted Antler toneboard. I'm hopping he likes it.

I too like the Buckeye Burl, but what sets that call off for me is the antler toneboard.  Looks great.

Thank you! I went through a couple of blanks trying to make this. Everytime I'd get to the size I was after I'd hit a void  man that's frustrating. Have about $10 in the trash can LOL. One of the file 13 pieces had about 10 voids looked like swiss cheese. Looked good on the outside but you never know with a burl.

Try turning it down to pen size. 

You sure saved a real nice piece for the end result tho. 

I think those  other blanks just didn't feel worthy of this call & gave up on YOU.    Kinda like blank suicide.
