I need some good pictures of a trench set. If anyone has one they will share.

I'm not a trapper myself, cant say I've ever heard of a trench set. :confused:

Start by making the trench. It should be about 3 feet long and about 6 inches wide.. It starts at ground level and tapers to about 6 to 8 inches deep at the deep end. Then at the deep end, dig a hole angling back into the ground. I usually bait the hole. Trap placement is at your discretion. But usually I put the trap in the trench about 12 inches back from the hole. Use some clods of dirt for stepping guides.

But in all honesty, this is a special occasions set. It's way too time consuming for everyday use. Under ordinary circumstances, a plain old dirthole or flat set will get the job done.

Thanks alscalls, Don't know why I missed it on Hal's sight but that sounds like what I am looking for. I like to try these different sets just to see if They work. I'am more a hobby trapper then a trapper.
