I made this Rabbit distress Wave call today and took the leftovers to work on a howler with opposite woods......

Nice calls Al. That Quina looks like stained pine. Is there any similarities to turning it or does it turn nicer??

Wow HaMer it is real dense and turns like a dream it is tough but no chipping and the sanding is a blessing for a change.
It is however rather plain so a laminate is a good choice for this wood. Nothing like pine at all.

It's a nice looking call. It sounds like it's a durable one too.
