10/05/06 Desert Ironwood and Cherry Burl open reed. I think that is one of about three that have Latta on them and I may still have the other two.

During that window of time I thought that I would put Latta on any that I gave away and Hawk on the others. That lasted a short time until someone commented that the call that I was showing them (a Latta) looked a lot like the ones that I also had which were made by Hawk.

Jerry I like that idea, but would be disappointed as a collector if ya only did three like that.

And who the heck would say that? Your right I don't want a Hawk call, can ya give me a call that looks like Joe Shuffy's but put Latta on it? Ya know I need it to look different then the call makers call.
