After some euthanized dogs were found in a Jackson County Animal Shelter dumpster, questions arose about what is done with put-down animals.
There are two options for shelters, either incineration or the landfill.
The dogs were in the dumpster to be transported to the landfill, but the snow canceled waste pick-up.
The shelters are so crowded many have no choice but to kill some of the animals.
Spaying and neutering your animal will help curb the increasing populations and keep shelter numbers down.
