He died for dipshits too.

That's the best looking piece of apple I've seen. All I've ever seen is straight grained stuff. Cool.

I'm sure he will.

 I like that style, really nice looking call... I'll even bet it sounds like a crow too.

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

Hawks Feather

Al,

Really like the grain in that one.  Sort of looks like a feather in the one picture.

By the way, BILL (as in Bill's Custom Calls) has two L's.

I'll be danged Al, I didn't know you and Wilma were siblings .  That is just plain nice and I presume the apple came from from your tree :yoyo:.

Thanks fellas.......
The wood is an Apple tree branch.........damaged in a storm a couple of years ago.......I saved it to see what it might become....I could see the grains of the wood real good if I worked at it in the light but It just did not jump at ya.....so I stained it....the limb was only about a half an inch larger round than the call.......thats why it has this feather effect....

I figured the ring would look nice and also keep the call from splitting due to the tapered tone board....

Al that is one of your signatures to me :yoyo:.  I like knowing the wood came from your own trees when I buy them and thanks for doing it.  Save the saw dust from it and I'll use it to smoke some meat I can enjoy too. :wo:

Al, the figure in the call is amazing!  The top pic reminds me of layered turkey feathers.   :yoyo: :yoyo:
